Miguel Chavez has been involved in both woodworking and the community for decades. He was selected by the Capitol Art committee to create permanent furniture for the State Capitol. He has participated in Spanish Market and been involved in teaching projects in the local schools. Since 2000 he has been a city councilman, representing District 3 in Santa Fe.
